Just Few...

Hello EVERYONE,

I think I'm quite back. Just few cards I managed to remember to document my work :)

Few others just were just conveniently forgotten :O and given out to friends.

But nevertheless, enjoy...

This was made for a friend which I had it made within 30 mins. As usual, my camera skill didn't do much justice to real piece.

I thoroughly enjoyed this because it was so happy, so fun and so cute at the same time. I went into my store room like a lil' rat and rummaged all that I have for my card making, and 1 hour later, this was made. If you look at it properly, there are 3 flowers which are popped out to give it a dimension :-)

And for the below, I badly wanted to have this posted in my FB but I can't because my colleague who is the Bride will see it and I haven't given it to her {yet}. So, yes, while I can't post it anywhere yet, but knowing that my fellow colleagues does not know of this page, I can just post however I want here :)

This piece in real has more class. It is definitely the camera {I took it from an iPhone}. But all the same, I enjoyed making it for her... because there is some sense of style yet simpleness within it.

Finally...

I'm back finally, from a year haitus from card making. Many things have happened especially my career in the corporate and my time has been spent working my life away the one whole year.

But now that it is coming to the year end, I'm starting to slow down and re-counting my passion. I truly miss card making and I've decided to come back by opening up Card-A-Heart to another level.

I'll let you guys know what's up soon. I'm in the midst of setting up the fun! Stay tune...

By the way, if I have not responded to any inquiries, my sincere apologies as I hardly could breath day in and day out, let alone log in to check Card-A-Heart :-)

Love in Pink

My camera didn't do any justice to this card at all. Bah! :-( It's much sweeter in real. MUCH. And so the story goes that Adrian shared with Z.Bin about my card activities. And for what so ever reason, he asked if I could make one for his girlfriend's birthday.
I first wanted it pink and green, that sorta panache color tone but Z.Bin warn me no green because "my gf will kill me. she hates green. pleaseeee no green..."
Fuyoh, such strong plead. Hehe...
And so, it's all pink... love pink... >.<

Party

Why 'party'? Hm, good question. Because it's a birthday party!!! That's why. I got this card made for a friend who is trying to woo a girl and so he said it can't be more special than giving her this... did she bite? did she not? *smirk*

Congrats - Han & Ewe

Anddddd, I went to this. So utterly cute. This is Heng Ewe and Han Liang's wedding card. To a point, I wanted to keep this for myself. Haha.
I had these 2 little birdie drawn and colored with copic, then made this polka card in pink and black. Ah, chic. Utterly cute chic.

A Chick's Birthday

I then continued with Nina's sis. Some brighter and cute one for a change... :-)

Spectacular Birthday

Then I went on to do this for Nina's mum... some elements of elegant but simple sweet... tho it was quite a task having to paste the letter, word for word... *patience*

Polka Birthday

So what have I been up to for a 1 month long silence from this blog?
Hehe...
Well, I actually have them here BUT I was just too busy to load them. And FINALLY, I am taking the time to have them all before the month turns October.
Here is a pair of very panache cards I made for 2 very, very, very good buddies. You know who you are, I don't need to say more.
I love this card a lot because it's cute yet chic at the same time. And there is something about the black and blue that does blends so well... Happy Birthday my dearests...

Wild About You

There is something about this card I particularly like - its simple adoring cuteness. Despite its simplicity and color, it pulls off very well. Again, something different from my usual style. And I [heart] it... hehe. Shikin, as I've mentioned to you about it in my mail to you... ta-dah, here it is!

Key to My Heart

These pictures doesn't do justice to the card!!! Argh!!! Bad camera. Bad camera woman (me!) The lustrous red of the card has been turned faded!!! Bah!!! Otherwise, it is honestly one of those cards I was admiring over and over again after I made it. Simply because it's not my usual style and color but somehow, I pulled it through pretty well.
Aida, I hope this reaches you in time for you to give it to your bf... *fingers and toes cross* and I hope you like it as much as I do... *wink*

Happy Birthday D

It came along as a request to make for her sister while I was in Samui. I was very worried if ever I could make it on time for her since after coming back, I'm always with tonnes of things to do. Somehow, I managed to pull this through for Aida and here is something I truly hope she would like for her sis. This time around I had the card a little different from my usual style. But still likeable to my 'point of view.' Hope Aida's ok with it... :-o

Nonnie & Her Princesses

I can't begin to express how much fun I had doing up these 4 bookmarks for Nonnie. I just love these bookmarks so much so that I wanted to keep it for myself [if I could]. Haha.
Nonnie asked for bookmarks for her and her 3 princesses. In particular Nonnie loves to read and there isn't a better way to have my work reminding her of the pages she has stopped.
For Dinna who is 6 years old, Nonnie said to have it more cartoony so there, Mr Owl on a branch with her name on the leaf. But what I took the liberty to ensured was a brighter colorful theme for a 6 year old.
For Innas who is 8, she likes butterflies, hearts and flowers. And so, I resorted on butterflies for. Sweet.
For Iemann who is 13, the initial request was to have something made on MU but as you know my style, I can't cook anything nice out of that. So I asked Nonnie what else. And later told she likes Twilight! And flowers. And ribbons. And pink. Ah ha, so there I got Iemann her name, flowery theme and these words which she specifically told Nonnie she wanted, "Twilight in my Heart."
And finally for the mummy herself, [I can't resist LOVING hers] she wants either something cute or girly. There you go. And since Nonnie's virtual nick is HunnyB, HunnyB she gets! Hehe...
But all in all, with all honesty, I wanted the bookmark for myself I tell you... *smile*
Last but not least, hope Nonnie and the girls would like them as much as I do...

Are U That Old?

I made this for my uncle who is 68 and he thanked me for the good reminder that he is as old as a 'turtle.' Well, I am not going to correct him for his eyesight. Bcos that would make him feel even worst. Heheh. This is an utterly basic simple card but there is something I like about tis soft masculinity. As usual, the dino was handrawn and colored with Copic...

Papa, We Love You

Here's a very simple card I have made for Athirah which she has asked to have "Papa, we love you" word at the front. She wanted it simple and masculine so here's one for him...

Father's Day

I drew the little cute airplane, and as usual, colored it to match the background I had in mind. And ta-dah, one for my father-in-law. What I like most about the card is having the cute airplane pulling the banner "Father's Day" with a little cute white string. Just a little appreciation for all he has been to my husband and I.

I Love You, Wholeheartedly...

This card is one of those different cards I've done so far. The inside of it contains 25 things Hazreen loves about her husband and the base was made of plastic. I had it lined with matte tracing paper. Then, to finish it up, an envolope is made where the card can be slotted into it and at the front, I've had these very words from Hazreen printed. Sooo, by end of it, it acts as an envolope and nice cover to a supposedly card.

For Eddie

Stephanie particularly said she wanted blue and red. Something to remind about love. To Eddie. And have a doggy. What have you here... hehehe. I drew the little doggy, colored it just to match the color around it and viola... cuuuuteeeee....

Friends Forever

I like the cuteness of the card and its simplity. I'm a little loss for words for this one... *smile* but what I like most about it is the fact that it has this centre piece which I created out of nothing. Just to give it a centre piece, advocating all about what friends are around it. Profound.

For my Dad

It's my Father-in-law's birthday!!! And so, I made him this. Tra-la-la masculine and cool. What I love most about it is the sheer paper I used as the envolope... sorta gives the classic look...
